Panel recommends approval of condo towers
Some east side residents opposed to development's height

A Common Council committee Tuesday recommended approval for a $105 million condominium development proposed for Milwaukee's east side.

The 313-unit development, known as Park Lafayette, would feature two 20-story towers east of N. Prospect Ave. and north of E. Lafayette Place. The council's Zoning, Neighborhoods and Development Committee unanimously recommended zoning approval, and the full council is to consider the project at its Dec. 13 meeting.
